Patrick A. Burns

Executive Director

Patrick Burns is an Executive Director at Seabury Aviation Partners, specializing primarily in fleet and MRO transaction advisory. Over the course of his 25-year career in the aviation industry, Patrick has held a variety of leadership positions focused on fleet strategy and transactions, maintenance, finance, and airline operations.

Since joining Seabury in 2023, Patrick has advised multiple airline clients on major fleet acquisition transactions totaling over 175 new aircraft and associated engines, as well as engine maintenance agreements supporting over 60 existing aircraft.

Before joining Seabury, Patrick was General Manager, Aircraft Transactions at Delta Air Lines, where he was responsible for managing Delta’s relationships with its aerospace OEMs. In this role, Patrick led the negotiation of transactions to acquire over 200 new aircraft and associated engines, restructure Delta’s OEM order book, and opportunistically acquire used aircraft.

In his prior role at Delta as General Manager, TechOps Finance, Patrick served as the finance leader and controller for Engine/Component Supplier Operations, Airframe Maintenance, Line Maintenance, TechOps Capital, strategic planning, business development, and JV/alliance partner support, overseeing $2.5B+ in annual operating expense. Most notably, Patrick led the strategy development and commercial negotiations of Delta TechOps’ groundbreaking engine MRO partnerships with Rolls-Royce and Pratt & Whitney, which were associated with Delta’s orders for A350/A330neo and A321neo aircraft in 2014 and 2017, respectively.

Patrick previously held various roles of increasing responsibility in Delta’s Airport Customer Service and TechOps/MRO Finance organizations. He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Economy from the University of California, Berkeley. Patrick is based in Denver, Colorado.
