Stephan Krastev has over 25 years of experience in investment banking and corporate finance advisory. Mr. Krastev joined Seabury in 2002 and has since led, co-led, structured, and executed a broad range of transactions, including M&A, debt and equity capital markets transactions, turnarounds, and aircraft financing.
Mr. Krastev’s core competencies include strategic advisory, investment banking, and turnarounds serving airlines, lessors, capital providers, and other participants in the aviation ecosystem. Recent high-profile projects include GOL Airlines’ chapter 11 restructuring with a focus on raising and structuring $1.0bn of DIP loan financing and $2.1bn of exit financing; Azul Airlines’ liability management program including $4.5bn lease restructuring, $865mm of public bond exchange, $350mm of convertible bond exchange and $800mm of new debt financing; advising Tata Sons in its acquisition of Air India; and Azul Airlines’ USD 325mm convertible debt financing.
Prior to Seabury, Mr. Krastev worked at Citigroup. He holds a B.S. degree with a double major in Finance and Computer Applications Information Systems from the University of Bridgeport. Mr. Krastev is a FINRA registered representative with Series 7, 63 and 79 designations.
